Valerie Green is an MS student in Building Science at UC Berkley focused on high-performance building enclosures and biophilic design. She received her BS in Civil Engineering from Cornell University in 2016. Prior to joining the MS program, she worked as a building enclosure consultant, working primarily with waterproofing, roofing, and design for thermal and moisture performance.

Valerie works part time at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory researching thermal performance of different prefabricated construction techniques and helping develop software for thermal and moisture analyses of building enclosures. At CBE she is working on a survey based study to quantify the impact of different biophilic design strategies on occupant well-being.
