Weiming Chen is a PhD student at Tsinghua University, China. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Tongji University in 2018. He currently focuses on thermal comfort for preschool children aged 3-6 years old. He has conducted field and laboratory studies for children in China. He is interested in thermal comfort research methods for younger children, differences between children and adults, thermal comfort models for children, and building construction standards for children. He is also involved in projects on green building design, energy planning, and personal comfort system. Currently in CBE, he is responsible for studying the applicability of existing models to children and trying to develop modified thermal comfort models for younger children.
