Visiting Scholar, Central South University, China
Yingying Zhao is currently a visiting student researcher at the Center for the Built Environment (CBE), University of California, Berkeley. She is pursuing her PhD at Central South University, China.
Her doctoral research focuses on the effects of thermal radiation in high-temperature environments on human cognitive performance. Specifically, her work aims to: (1) provide new experimental evidence on how thermal radiation affecting different body regions influences cognitive impairment, with emphasis on both physiological and psychological responses; (2) develop quantitative models to characterize the relationship between thermal radiation and cognitive performance; and (3) establish novel monitoring and assessment methods for evaluating cognitive risks under combined thermal and radiation exposure. This research is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
