CBE invites attendees of the ASHRAE winter meeting to join presentations by our research staff, graduate students and CBE Industry Partners, taking place in person in Las Vegas, January 31 – February 4, plus additional virtual events.
Carlos Duarte will present a study done in collaboration with TRC Companies, Inc. and Taylor Engineers, evaluating the energy saving potential by applying the hydronic sequences under ASHRAE Guideline 36 to existing HVAC systems.
Tharanga Jayarathne of TRC Companies, Inc. will present a field study that implemented and evaluated a cost-optimized SAT reset strategy in several commercial buildings, with preliminary results showing up to 10% in HVAC energy costs.
UC Berkeley graduate student Jiwon Park gave a virtual presentation today describing a field study on the performance of heat recovery chillers with exhaust air coils in an all-electric medical building, done in collaboration of UCSF Health.
Additional coauthors include Paul Raftery, Aoyu Zou, Rupam Singla, Reece Kiriu, Hwakong Cheng, Jacob Huth, Yan Wang and Curtis Fong.
