MS Student in Building Science, Technology and Sustainability
Quinn is pursuing his MS in Building Science, Technology and Sustainability at UC Berkeley. In 2024, he graduated University of Cincinnati with a BS in Civil Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. As an undergraduate, Quinn specialized in architectural engineering, exploring the intersection of building engineering and architectural design. At Cincinnati, he worked on research related to home decarbonization audits as interventions with Dr. Amanda Webb, and the implementation of a novel localized heating system in a historic church with an ASHRAE Decarbonization Challenge Grant. Quinn has completed four co-ops as an undergraduate student, gaining experience at RDH Building Science in Oakland, CA, as well as NorthPoint Development and THP Limited in Cincinnati, OH.
Quinn is currently a graduate student research assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory working on projects related to decarbonization of the residential building sector. His research interests include historic and existing building decarbonization, energy auditing, and indoor environmental quality. He is a 2024 recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.
