Our biannual meeting is held each spring and fall. The goal of this event is to share our most recent research updates with our Industry Partners and discuss future research goals.
The next Industry Advisory Board (IAB) Meeting is scheduled for April 21-23, 2020 (please note: the dates are Tuesday-Thursday)
Materials from our October meeting are below for reference, and will be updated in the spring as April planning proceeds.
The Wednesday event was free and open to the public. The Thursday meeting included industry partners and invited guests, and includes updates and discussion of current research projects. The Friday morning business meeting included two representatives from each industry partner firm or team.
Summary of the October 2019 Meeting
Wednesday, October 23, 9:00am-4:30pm: Pre-Meeting Symposium on Optimizing Radiant Systems
PG&E Pacific Energy Center, San Francisco (view map)
Radiant cooling and heating systems provide an opportunity to achieve significant energy and peak demand savings. However, as the use of these systems grows, particularly in zero-net-energy (ZNE) and other low-energy buildings, informed design and operation becomes a critical aspect of meeting expected performance. This full-day symposium will feature building practitioners and researchers who will present successful case studies, design practices, and the results of a multi-year research effort that created new insights and design tools.
