CBE hosts semi-annual meetings with CBE’s Industry Partners and invited guests. At these events we share research progress, get feedback on new research directions, and continue to build a community that shares our goal of creating knowledge and resources that improve the performance of buildings and the built environment.
Industry Advisory Board Meeting, Fall 2026
CBE’s Industry Advisory Board Meeting events will take place at UC Berkeley on October 15-16. Thursday’s Plenary Session will be available in a hybrid format, with both virtual and in-person options. Friday’s Executive Session will be in-person only. Full agenda link and agenda outline will be posted below soon. Registration information will be emailed to partners and invited guests.
The fall membership events are being hosted in collaboration with two public events on October 14th. A morning workshop will distill findings on sleep-supportive environments, energy-efficient cooling, and an open-source platform for just-in-time interventions, research done in collaboration with UC Berkeley, NUS, and the University of Sydney. The afternoon session, at AIASF in San Francisco, will feature two panels with sustainability leaders who will discuss the intersection of design intent and project delivery, plus recent and leading-edge ZNE case studies.

Event Outline: October 15-16, 2026
- Wednesday, October 14. We will host two public events in coordination with the IAB sessions:
- 9:00 – 11:30 am: Better Sleep in a Warming World: From Large-Scale Field Evidence to Just-in-Time Interventions. Details to be posted soon. [in-person]
- 1:00 – 4:00 pm: Insights on Zero Carbon Design. AIA San Francisco,140 Sutter St, San Francisco. CBE will cover a portion of ticket fees for current partners. Details to be posted soon. [In-person]
- Thursday, October 15, 8:15 am – 5 pm: Plenary Session, Pauley Ballroom, UC Berkeley Campus. (Maximum 7 participants per partner or team). Followed by a happy hour and dinner banquet. [Zoom and in-person]
- Friday, October 16, 8:30 am – 12 pm: Executive Session, Magnus Collection, 2121 Allston Way, Berkeley. (Maximum 2 participants per partner or team). Followed by a hosted lunch in downtown Berkeley. [In-person]
