Ying Jiang is a PhD candidate at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, specializing in outdoor thermal comfort, thermal physiology-based models, and urban microclimates. Her doctoral research focuses on developing a physiology-based thermal comfort model for outdoors, particularly transient, dynamic, and non-uniform thermal environments. The model aims to integrate with a multi-nodal human thermoregulation model as a virtual person to numerically assess the thermal comfort conditions of outdoor spaces during the design and renovation stages.

She joined CBE as a visiting student researcher in April 2025. Under the supervision of Hui Zhang, she is working on investigating human thermal responses and physiological mechanisms in non-uniform outdoor thermal conditions.
