This article notes that CBE’s research on personal comfort systems may be a solution to providing comfort for outdoor dining, as an alternative to highly energy intensive heaters and air-conditioners. This article highlights the opportunity for furniture manufacturers to think creatively about heated and cooled pieces, especially in the wake of dining restrictions in the midst of Covid-19.
